Having some spring time fun!
Climbing at the Zoo
In the past Addie has had no interest in climbing on the statues at the zoo, and now we can't tear her away from them or any other thing worth climbing for that matter!
Playing Cook
We got Addie a bunch of new cooking supplies for her birthday but she is now finally starting to play with it all. It's been a fun challenge for me to be creative in how she can help me in the kitchen too. She is definitely the cutest darn cook I know!
Playing in the Band
We all had a great time at our friend, Cooper's, first birthday party. My favorite part was Addie and Ava playing band together. They did a great job taking turns and were fabulous entertainment!

Go Dada!
Addie and I went to watch Brian's last hockey game of the season. She was really excited about it so we made a sign for him and she cheered really loud for him almost every time he hit the ice! Brian ended up scoring 1 goal which was really exciting, but also ended up spending 7 minutes in the penalty box! It was the perfect "teachable moment" since Addie had her first time out at Miss. Tina's house that week. To this day she still reminds Dada of his time out... it is too funny!

An Evening on Grand Ave.
Addie has been asked to be a flower girl in her Uncle Ben's wedding this October! So we made a trip to the Wedding Shop tonight to have her measured for her dress. We figured since our appointment wasn't until 7:30 (Addie's bedtime) we would entertain her on Grand Avenue before hand. We met Grandma, Papa, Natasha, and Alex at Punch Pizza for dinner. Then all of us walked across the street to the Grand Ole Creamery for ice cream. Addie loved her ice cream and had a lot of fun playing with Alex. I think Addie will have no problem following her lead on the big day!

Happy Easter!
"Easter Bunny bring Addie basket and eggs!"
We had a very happy and very busy Easter. It started with Addie being excited about finding her Easter basket and then becoming ecstatic over all the eggs the Easter Bunny (aka Uncle Greg) left in our yard. We had to rush out the door to make it to church on time where Addie got to see baby chicks, bunnies, and goats. She was really into the music and was dancing in the aisles each time they played a song (including during the Liturgy of the Eucharist!).
Next we went to Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Brian's house. About a year ago they inherited a playhouse from a neighbor, so today Brian and Addie cleaned it out together before the rest of the family arrived. She was so cute serving us coffee from HER kitchen, but wouldn't allow us inside since we were too big!
Last, we went to Grandma Dayna and Papa's house where Addie and Riley got to do an Easter egg hunt! They had a lot of fun looking for eggs. Riley even wandered into the neighbor's yard and tried to pick up some of theirs!
I hope your Easter was a wonderful time spent with family and friends and that you were able to reflect on this beautiful time of new life!

How I Spent My Spring Break... By Addie Corbett
I rode on a bus for the first time to downtown Minneapolis. It was fun to look at all the parks we passed along the way. Once we got downtown we visited Target Field. I liked climbing the steps even though they are really steep!
We went to story time at the Wild Rumpus and a “Chicken eat me snack!” I was scared at first, but then was able to enjoy the stories after a few minutes. After story time we went to the park with my friends Ava, Henry, and Baby Jack Jack. We had fun pretending to be pirates.
I rode on a train (light rail) for the first time with my Grandma and Great Grandma. We went to see flowers downtown and then my Dada met us for lunch. It was lots of fun.
We went to the Como Zoo with my friends Ava, Henry, Baby Jack Jack, Mason, and Cooper. I was most excited to see the monkeys. There were lots of us there but we did a good job of staying together and had lots of fun. We even got rained on a little bit when we were leaving, so I sang the “rain, rain, go away” song the whole way home.
I invited my friend Hazie over for a barbeque to celebrate the end of a super fun spring break. We had fun chasing after bubbles and just being silly together.
I had lots of fun being home with Mama and playing with all my friends. I want to go back to the park and swimming with them, but Mama says I have to wait until school is done. I hope that comes fast!
