News: Tonight Addie used her potty for the first time! She seemed very surprised by it herself and looked so proud afterward! I don't expect pursuing toilet training anytime soon, but it's exciting to know that will be in our future very soon. :)

OH NO warning ... an historical but applicable Miammie Barb-story:
We did not pursue potty-training either with our first borne ... she rather completed the mission quite independantly all on her own by age 20 months! This was to our concern because at the time we were planning a move and thought there would be a set back with the change that might harm our little independant girl's self-esteem ... but she had her own plan (imagine that) and just went ahead with the process anyhow! It remained successful ... and as a jab to our parental glory the process with our subsequant spawn took several months using every star chart and M&M jar trick in the book ... But I am happy to say - regardless of the path - they are all trained now! :)
